LETTERS TO MY FRIENDS
Collection
RE: LETTERS TO MY FRIENDS, a series of Stone & Plate Lithographs, Intaglios, Serigraphs and Relief Prints.
Jack Cassady’s “Letters to My Friends” is about Graphic Interaction with different material, texture, the stencil, photo and the hands on process of printmaking.
The concept for this series started in 1974. The inspiration for the series started with the stencil as a drawing tool and continued into using the process as a drawing material such as using Lithographic drawing materials to create images in Intaglio and vises / versus. The use of photographic images and how to get said images onto the various mediums was also an important exploration, for at the time there was little of that being done.
Many of the prints have been exhibited in Europe, USA and Canada. A few of the prints are in Public Collections and many are in Private and Corporate Collections.
